 trouble watching tutorials

I upgraded my computer to windows 7. so ever since i have done that i can't watch any simply maya tutorials giving me error codes in windows media player Windows Media Player C00D1199. i have done updates and installed new codec, etc. I have also tried VLC player also, please help. thank you
